Forget about 3D printing ceramics. Let's print the kilns. The bricks. The refractory supports and posts. This is the right time and I will tell you why. Ultimately I want to be able to print super-light-weight fuel burning kilns (gas, oil, even wood) large enough for a studio potter, connect the sensors and actuators and fire them automatically. If they do not work I will smash them with a hammer, adjust and print another. There are many technologies that have to come together to make this work, as a group we can do it together.
